Life is blitzing by. Every time I start to feel like the daily activities consume my energies, that reflective process begins again. Is what I’m doing really going to matter for eternity?
We celebrated Grandma Hanson’s homegoing last week. She had 98 years of opportunities to waste or redeem. How I would have loved to see the welcome she received at The Gate! Her life was one of devotion to her Lord and Savior, and she shared that with everyone she met.
After her birthday party in November, I wrote down how I believed Grandma left us a legacy.
· Love people
· Believe in your family
· Tell about the goodness of God
· Pray
· Persevere
Psalm 22:3-5 says that past generations were not disappointed when they put their trust in God.
Psalm 22:22-25 tells us that present generations now have our chance to tell others about God’s faithfulness.
Psalm 22:30-31 reminds us that there will be future generations that will need to be told about God’s righteousness.
The past, present and future all come together as one before The Throne of Almighty God! One day, we will join Grandma in praising The King in His heavenly realm. But for today, our lives can be an offering and honor to Him.
How will you leave a legacy?
