to see families repaired,
to lead this generation to a relationship with God,
to make a difference in the lives of other Moms and Wives.
What does a dream entail?
a boldness to step out in faith,
a conviction that God has birthed the dream,
and faithfulness to stay on track.
I’ve been working with www.CloserMomsAndDaughters.com to bring an event to our area. It seems like all obstacles have lined up to keep this conference from happening. Yet, I feel so strongly about this event, that it has become a moral imperative for me. Andy Stanley says, “If it is God who has begun painting a picture of what could and should be on the canvas of your heart, over time you will begin to sense that not to follow through would be tantamount to an act of disobedience.” (p. 25 Visioneering)
How could this event change our lives? If the family is strengthened, if relationships are nurtured, and if our community catches a glimpse of God’s power at work through ordinary people, then something magnificent could happen!
I am believing in the Dream. And I am trusting God to glorify Himself through the results.
What dream will take all you’ve got? Do you recognize it as a God-Dream, something that is bigger than yourself? Andy says, “Don’t allow fear of the unknown to deter you from what God has put in your heart to do. Worse than failure is living with the regret of never having stepped out in faith to pursue your vision.” (p. 215 Visioneering)
