Busyness

Can life possibly get any more hectic?  Oh my.  Things in my brain get shuffled to make way for more to do!  Guys have a good thing going for them…their brains are wired to compartmentalize their lives.  Men are like Waffles, Women are like Spaghetti says men deal with things separately.  I am definitely the spaghetti gal.  Everything in my life gets tangled together!

Last week, my #1 Son was in the school musical.  Boy, did he shine!  It was fun seeing Nate blossom onstage.  All four of his grandparents came from Indiana and Florida to see the show.  Track started up this week for #1 Daughter; something she’s waited eagerly for all winter.  Tuesday, I got a call from the school nurse that Anna had been in an accident in gym.  After a trip to the hospital for x-rays, it was determined to be a sprained wrist.  Wednesday, I got a call from the nurse that Nate had an accident in gym!  A trip to the doctor, injections to numb the toe, and the doctor was able to straighten the nail back out.  I told the Doctor we needed to put his office on speed dial, but, I didn’t think we would be back.  #1.  I don’t have any more kids to get injured in gym, and secondly, the ones I do have, now have gym excuses due to their injuries!!  Whew!

Don’t you wonder if Martha felt frantic when Jesus and His crew showed up for supper?  It takes a lot of hands to put a meal on the table!  And yet, there was Mary…sitting at His feet and hanging onto every word He said!  hmmpf.  I think I would have gotten huffy too.

Jesus gently reprimanded Martha.  Yes, life is busy.  But something is even more important than all of those necessary details in a family’s life.  And that is coming to sit at the feet of Jesus, and hanging onto His every Word.  For His Word is life.  John 14:6

May you savor the sweet aroma of The Lily of the Valley.  Song of Songs 2:1    See the beauty of the Bright Morning Star.  Revelation 22:16  And kneel at the feet of our Risen Savior.  Matthew 28:5-7

Happy Easter!

Thank you for your wonderful comment on the blog over Easter! I'm back and happy to report that the mission was amazing! We were blessed with a terrific and selfless crew, excellent weather, and beautiful new friendships. We actually grew together -- an ideal for mission trips but sadly uncommon!

Check out the pictures and meet my new friend, Jasmin -- a bright young girl in Chilapa de Vicente who stole my heart. Josh and I plan to sponsor her schooling. She wants to be a teacher amd will need a gerat deal of help getting to school and financing boarding, books, and clothing. We're excited to see her grow and achieve in life!

Blessings and thanks in this joyous Easter season!
