I received an email asking about the outcome of our Super Bowl experiement. Here's what we found:
Lemon Garlic Pepper Wings

2 lbs. chicken wings
½ c. lemon juice
1 whole garlic clove chopped (used 1/8 t. garlic powder)
1 tbsp. pepper
2 tbsp. salt
¼ c. vegetable oil
Marinate for 2 hours at room temp, stir occasionally to keep coated.
Barbeque on grill or sauté in saucepan 20-30 min.
We put them in crockpot for several hours. Hubby says he wants to bake them in the oven next time to get the crispy effect.
