This weekend we had our 5th Annual Women’s Retreat. The gals tease me because I always come home and say, “That was the last one!”
Retreats are a lot of work, but the satisfaction is even bigger! There is no comparison to the joy of seeing someone realize she is created and loved by God Himself. Often it takes a getaway to really process things we tend to rush through at home, like Bible study, and conversations with friends. When you go away with a group to study God’s Word together, the result is a more intentional atmosphere created for growth together!
Here are some comments from a few of the gals who came this year:
What was your favorite part of the weekend? “The fellowship and stories.” “Small group & games.” “Chapel.” “Speakers sharing the struggles the Lord has helped them through.”
What was your least favorite part of the weekend? “Leaving.” “Not long enough.” “Hard bench.” “Traveling distance.” “Going to bed!”
In what ways did you grow closer to the Lord this weekend? “Realizing how many women have gone thru terrible things and stayed close to God.” “I felt His assurance of unconditional love.” “Get rid of the baggage because He is here and He will carry it.” “Being reminded of all the ways God is faithful brings me closer.”
How did our speakers affect your perception of trusting God? “Powerful messages of God’s absolute dependability.” “Trusting God isn’t always easy but well worth it.” “How they had doubts like I do & then went on with their trust in God & ‘Let God.’” “If they can stay close to God, so can I, always.”

Here are some thoughts on debriefing after a retreat.
Thank you friends, for entrusting your weekend to us. You are loved!
