Do you know that God wants to be your Valentine?  His heart of love beats for you!  You are the sparkle in His eye!

The Psalmist says that God has been thinking about you so much, that there aren’t enough grains of sand to count all of those thoughts!  (139:17-18 )  I have a hard time wrapping my brain around that kind of love.  His love is pure, not tainted.  His love is patient and kind, Not envious, nor boastful, nor prideful.  God’s love is not rude, nor self-seeking, nor easily angered, nor keeps a tally of my wrong-doing.  God’s “love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”  (I Corinthians 13:4-7)

One of our choir’s favorite songs is called “Written in Red.”  Jesus shed His blood as He expressed God’s heart of love at Calvary.

Today, let His love enfold you in His gentle embrace.  Let His belief in you uphold you as you believe in yourself and the purposes for which He has raised you.  You were born for such a time as this!
