I can’t get enough of ‘em! There are always stacks sitting on my desk and file cabinet. I can’t bear to put them away, because I want to find time to read those books! In fact, most of them hold bookmarks at the place where last I browsed.
I have listed all of my favorites in the Shopping Link at the right. But I thought I would mention five of the books I am currently reading.
A Life That Matters – Ron Hutchcraft. Ron has done an excellent job of pinpointing the lingo that separates Christians from non-church attendees. When we learn to speak in everyday language, our lives will be more appealing. And that will create opportunities to talk about the difference faith makes!
The Copywriter’s Handbook – Robert W. Bly. An excellent resource for honing writing skills. Robert’s work is thought provoking and brings out avenues I previously hadn’t thought to pursue.
Mustard on a Pickle – Barry Levenson. This is a playful book for kids written by the founder and curator of the
Free to Soar – Global Pastors Wives Network. I picked up this book looking for tips from other pastors’ wives as they juggle ministry, family and work. I’m looking forward to hearing the perspective of many, as each chapter is written by a different author!
Angel Unaware – Dale Evans Rogers. A classic, this short book deals with a family’s turmoil and compassionate response to a baby with a handicap, and the lessons they learned from her.
What books are you reading, and why did they appeal to you?
