We’re in the countdown now. Tomorrow I’ll take the vans to gas them up and hitch up the luggage trailer, and then we’ll leave early Friday morning.
I am always amazed when we get to this point.
We’ve checked our list repeatedly to make sure nothing’s forgotten. We’ve had countless emails and phone calls to check on details. We’ve ordered materials and surprises. We’ve organized group leaders and room assignments. We’ve had sessions of prayer.
Now, it’s time to sit back and let the Lord do His thing. We don’t dictate the affairs of the heart; we ask the Mender of hearts to do His work. To heal. To restore. And to revive.
To revive tired souls. To renew friendships. And to restore joy.
I love the passage in II Samuel 16:14. David’s caravan of people was exhausted from the journey. But then? Then, they found what they needed.
And we will too!
God is so good!
